Spring, 2008 events

April 16 - 7 p.m. - Breakaway Cycling

DCFT's quarterly meeting has been set for April 16, 2008. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at Breakaway Cycling in downtown Delaware. We'll update the membership on our our current projects and preview upcoming events. Dan Negley, DCFT board member and owner of Breakaway cycling will provide a workshop on tuning up your bicycle for Spring. Bring your bike, if you wish.

Spring Clean-up in Galena, coordinated by the Galena area Civic Asociation. Details TBA

Genoa Trail festival
    8 a.m. Genoa Trail Clean-up - Meet at McNamara Park picnic shelter
    10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - DCFT info table at festival

This year's Genoa Trail festival includes a Classic Car Cruise in, a 5k run, vendors, nonprofits, school bands, bicycle maintenance classes, a used bicycle collection event and a silent auction.
It's good times.

Saturday, July 26 - Community Ties Bicycle Tour
We are still seeking a dedicated volunteer to run point on the Community Ties project.

We are still seeking a dedicated volunteer to run point on the Community Ties project.

Planning Meeting: Feb. 21, 7 p.m.

The February meeting of the DCFT will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21 at the Preservation Parks of Delaware County offices at 2656 Hogback Rd.

Directions from the east: From US 36/ State Route 37, turn north on 3 Bs & K Road, travel 1.5 miles; turn west on Howard Road, travel 0.5 mile; turn north on Hogback Road, travel 1.3 miles.

Directions from Delaware: travel northeast on State Route 512 5.2 miles; turn south on Hogback Road, travel 1.7 miles.

Meeting topics include planning for events in 2007, and setting the meeting calendar and selected guest speakers. All citizens interested in creating and maintaing multi-use trails
in Delaware County are encouraged to attend and share their talents.

2007 Meeting Schedule

In 2007, DCFT will hold quarterly meetings for members and the board of directors on the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October -- that is, Jan. 16, April 18, July 18 and Oct. 17.

Meetings will be held at 7 p.m. at Galena United Methodist Church, 109 Harrison St., Galena.

Other meetings, events and activities will be announced as information becomes available.

Trail clearing on October 28

There will be a trail clearing on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 9:00 a.m.  We will be meeting at Miller Park on Walnut Street. The focus will be on the Galena area trails.  Check back for more info.
